Harley LIVEWIRE: A bold electric bike.

Livewire is the first electric motorcycle by Harley Davidson. It has a high voltage battery which gives it a city range of 235KM or 152 km of combined stop-and-go and highway range. The electric motorcycle can be fully charged overnight through the standard household outlet. The battery can be juiced up to 80 per cent in 40 minutes or 100 per cent in an hour at any Level 3 DC Fast Charge station. It is available in three color variants: Vivid Black, Orange Fuse and Yellow Fuse. LiveWire offers seven selectable Ride Modes that electronically control the performance characteristics of the motorcycle and the level of Reflex Defensive Rider Systems (RDRS) intervention.

Each Ride Mode consists of a specific combination of power, regeneration, throttle response, and traction control settings. LiveWire comes with four pre-programmed modes: sport, road, range, and rain, along with three ride modes the rider can customize. The H-D Revelation electric powertrain produces minimal vibration, very little heat, and minimal noise, all of which enhance rider comfort. The LiveWire motorcycle can rush from 0 to 100 kph in 3.0 seconds and 100 to 129 kph in 1.9 seconds. Harley-Davidson LiveWire features a permanent magnet electric motor. A new collection of technologies that help give you confidence and control in less-than-ideal situations.The LiveWire motorcycle does require inspection or service of some mechanical and consumable items, such as the drive belt tension, gearbox oil, brake fluid and brake pads, and tires, at recommended intervals and pre-ride. The center of gravity has been optimized to enhance traction, braking, and cornering performance. The high-voltage battery has a five-year, unlimited-mileage warranty. The systems also utilize advanced chassis control, electronic brake control and powertrain technology to assist you with accelerating and braking in a straight line or while in a turn.
